UMCI

United Military Command Intelligence. Division of the UMC that deals with intelligence gathering, espionage, public relations, political skullduggery, and a laundry list of off-the-books projects. Ostensibly the UMCI abstains from direct force-projection, but in practice, the division has numerous special ops teams that it uses in various operations.

UMCI officers are often considered sideways to the standard command structure, as they answer more to the civilian leadership of the League (and specifically the Premier) than to the military commanders. As a result, the rest of the UMC tends to view UMCI officers as more political overseers than fighting personnel, and it’s common wisdom in the UMC that you should never say anything politically incorrect around the UMCI unless you’re ready to be transferred to the ice fields of Europa.
