This new song by Jennifer Hale and Todd Herfindal explores the moment when ship mind Gregorovich reached out to Kira for help. Quirky, annoying, brilliant Gregorovich was a complex character. Aside from his job of running the Wallfish, he sent encouraging messages to each crew member during stressful times. More than once his brilliant thinking had saved them from destruction. In turn, it was Kira, with the help of the Soft Blade, who was able to help him during his time of need.
But how did Hale and Herfindal capture the cosmic loneliness of an unbalanced ship mind? By incorporating the cosmos itself. That’s right, listen closely and you will hear actual sounds from space! The intro is followed by audio from Pluto and the track ends with sounds from Uranus and Mars.
